UNEXPECTED BLESSINGS
Having a child in the hospital for long periods of time is hard. No matter if you have $1.00 or $100,000 in your checking account. On top of the expense to eat at the hospital, gas to get back and forth, there is typically a family life at home you are trying to keep afloat. For the third January now we have held a gift card drive. This year we partnered with Sycamore Creek Church, the Canal Winchester Lady Indians Basketball program and Health Source Chiropractors and collected enough in gift cards and funds to provide $150.00 to each of the 42 hematology/oncology rooms at Nationwide Children’s Hospital! These included restaurants in or nearby the hospital, gas and grocery gift cards. It also included an Amazon gift card for the child to order something fun and have it delivered right to them! It is always a very appreciated, unexpected blessing for those families.
