A BIG THANK YOU
In early March we held one of our favorite events of the year – the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner. Whether you are a sponsor, a volunteer, or just want to know more about the foundation, this is a night for anyone to join us so we can show our appreciation and update the community on what the BrockStrong Foundation has been doing over the past year. We shared our story with 175 guests this year at Shade on the Canal restaurant. The Volunteer Appreciation Dinner gives us a chance to highlight some of our recent projects and have some special guests share how BSF has impacted them. In addition, we honored a few exceptional people as well. Elevated Integrity was recognized as our “Sponsor of the Year” and Misti Henkel was presented with our “Volunteer of the Year” award. Each received gift baskets for their selfless dedication to the BrockStrong Foundation. In addition, we had presentations from Super Brock and his family (they were the recipients of a Make-A-Wish trip sponsored by BSF), Our Father’s Project (a mentorship program that focuses on breaking the cycle of poverty and substance abuse of urban teenagers), The Red Cross, Brock Walk, and we shared a room makeover project and our continued support of families at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. We ended the night with a fabulous video from our friend Brinley, who is currently fighting cancer; she shared how the foundation has helped her over the years.
