Brock Walk 2019
The Brockstrong Foundation proudly partners with sixth graders from Canal Winchester Middle School and the Canal Winchester Food Pantry for the Brock Walk food drive. In honor of Brock and his love of service, students strive to collect food donations for the food pantry to help stock the shelves for the summer months when students are not receiving breakfast and lunch at school. Students place specially marked donation bags on the doors of homes in Canal Winchester and then return the next day to collect any donations left outside for them.
2019 marked the fourth year for our partnership and the fifth year of the project.
This year we set a donation record at the food pantry by collecting 22,734 items! In total, this project has collectively donated over 70,000 items since starting in 2014.
We are grateful for everyone that donates during this collection so we can ensure summer food stability for the students and their families. 💚
