LOVING OUR ELDERS
There is an apartment complex in Canal Winchester that not many know about. It has two sections with a total of 92 apartments, David’s Way and Canal Village. These apartments are for elderly, low income residents. As you can imagine most of the residents are pretty lonely. We provided them with a grocery bag full of household items on Brock’s Birthday. So we decided to bring some Christmas joy to them, B-Rock style! We showed up with about 40 volunteers and spent some time with them. We provided dinner, a magician, music and a small gift for each of them. The CW Kroger Management team joined us and provided a Christmas craft for the residents to make and hang on their door. Fantasy Cupcake also joined us and helped the residents decorate Christmas cookies. It was such a great afternoon and I think everyone involved, volunteers and residents alike, felt loved and in the Christmas spirit at the end of the day.
