Nationwide Children’s Hospital was a second home to Brock his whole life. The staff and other patients became like family to Brock’s family. So many hours were spent in-patient, in clinics, having tests and most of the time Brock made the best of it. While Brock and his family were so appreciative of the effort of all involved to diagnose and treat Brock, the staff were appreciative of the light Brock brought into the hospital with him through all of his trials.

The Foundation has a huge heart for the patients and families at the hospital. In addition to our annual gift card drive (which provides a gift card packet to each room on the hematology/oncology floor), and toy drive on Brock’s birthday, we seek out families to bless with gift cards, gifts, financial assistance and encouragement. It is hard to be in the hospital with your child. You feel helpless most of the time as your child is forced to endure things that no child should have to endure. Our goal is to give them a little bright spot in the middle of their storm. It is our way to keep Brock’s light there for those who may have never met him.
